30 Mind-Blowing Facts About Cockroaches

August 2, 2019

Cockroaches are by far the most disgusting creatures. Personally, I have developed what Psychologists call as Katsaridaphobia because of unfortunate cockroach encounters. I’m sure that some of you have heard of the term. Katsaridaphobia is the fear of cockroaches. So, what is the big deal? Phobia is more extreme than fear. When we are afraid, it is normal for us to sweat, scream, run, and palpitate.  But if a person acquires the psychological disorder phobia, he will experience more than just these symptoms.

He or she is more likely to experience panic attacks by just the mere thought of the object of fear. When a person has a phobia, he or she is more likely to become dysfunctional in life. For example, when I had Katsaridaphobia, I did not want to enter the bathroom or the kitchen upon the anticipation that there are cockroaches lurking around. Even if I really wanted to pee, I would call for my mom to make sure that there are no cockroaches in the comfort room. Imagine the discomfort that my condition brought me.
