Over the years, pests have broken into homes almost unchecked. Evolution has made them bigger, stronger, and even wiser than ever. Cockroaches
Cockroaches are among the most primitive creatures on this planet and masters of survival. They have flat, oval bodies, long antennae, and a shiny outer protective layer that is black or brown in color. They are capable of spreading diseases as they carry deadly bacteria and viruses. Once inside your homes, they feed on stored food, paper, cardboard, dead insects, trash, and even dead cockroaches. Outside the home, they feed on dead animals, fecal matter, and other filth.
If humans consume food contaminated by cockroaches, it can cause food poisoning, enteritis, bacteremia, Urinary Tract Infection, diarrhea, and other infections. The most common types of cockroaches are the American cockroach, German cockroach, Oriental cockroach, and the brown - banded cockroach.
Mice
The mouse is a small mammal - perhaps the only pest of its kind - with a pointed nose, furry round bodies, long ears, and long tails. Mice are very dangerous as they are capable of transmitting diseases. Leptospirosis, rat bite fever, the plague, and salmonellosis are some of them. Transmission of the disease is through contact with mice droppings, saliva, or urine. Mice eat stored food, paper, and cardboard.
Mosquitoes
Mosquitoes are perhaps the most dangerous creatures on the planet. The numbers of casualties caused by their bites are in millions each year. The diseases they transmit include dengue, malaria, yellow fever, West Nile fever, and elephantiasis. Infestations in homes start with the presence of stagnant water, which they choose as their breeding grounds.
Flies
Flies are just like the cockroaches because of their love for filth. Flies like to land on garbage, dead animals, and fecal matter, then find their way to foods stored inside households. That is how they are able to transmit bacteria and viruses that cause diarrhea, food poisoning, and cholera. Disgusting pests, they really are.
